Happy 200th Birthday Robert Bunsen →

Today (March 31st) marks the 200th birthday of one Mr. Robert Bunsen, the inventor of one of modern chemistry’s most important tools; the Bunsen Burner. If you’ve ever taken even a basic class in chemistry, you’ve worked with these devices. My late grandpa would have had a hard time as a chemical engineer all those years he worked for Shell Oil and McDonnell Douglas without them. So, in honor of you, Mr. Bunsen, we raise our beakers high in toast…remembering not to drink out of beakers and to never directly smell the contents. Celebrate in style Mr. Bunsen!
